What material is used for pet towels
1. Microfiber (the most commonly used in the market)
Divided into high-density coral fleece, double-sided ultrafine fiber, and pineapple grid ultrafine fiber
Raw materials: Polyester+Nylon Ultra fine Denier Fiber
Advantages: The water absorption speed is much higher than pure cotton, it dries quickly, does not shed hair, does not stick to pet floating hair, is soft and does not harm cat and dog skin, and can be machine washed and reused repeatedly; The pineapple grid pattern has stronger water absorption and is suitable for long haired dogs to bathe and dry.
Applicable: Most household pet bath towels and absorbent towels.
2. Pure cotton/long staple cotton (niche)
Advantages: Soft and skin friendly, gentle touch
Disadvantages: slow water absorption, difficult to dry thoroughly, easy to breed bacteria, highly prone to sticking to pet hair, hard hair after washing;
Mostly used for small puppies and cats to wipe their faces with small square towels, not recommended for full body drying.
3. Suede velvet (made of PVA material resembling deer skin, with strong water absorption)
Also known as absorbent deer skin towel
Raw material: Polyvinyl alcohol PVA polymer
Advantages: Strong water absorption, can quickly absorb large areas of moisture after twisting, lightweight and portable;
Disadvantages: becoming hard, becoming brittle after long-term drying, unable to withstand high temperatures and direct sunlight, with a slightly hard touch, some cats and dogs may resist; Mostly used for outdoor bathing and pet SPA.
4. Coral fleece/flannel (affordable basic version)
Pure polyester fiber, fluffy and soft, cheap price, moderate water absorption, more shedding than ultra-fine fiber, high short-term cost-effectiveness for household use.
5. Microfiber+bamboo fiber blend (antibacterial high-end towel)
Polyester mixed with bamboo fiber, with antibacterial and deodorizing effects, reduces residual body odor after bathing, suitable for pets with sensitive skin and prone to skin diseases.
6. Waterproof quick drying surface composite cloth (wrapped in towels for outdoor use)
The outer layer is waterproof polyester, and the inner layer is ultra-fine absorbent fiber. After washing, wrap the pet to prevent dripping water from wetting the home and car.
